(More customer reviews)This product is poorly made and has multiple manufacturing problems, which could have been avoided: The idea is to use a GPS transmitter to locate your lost dog. Here is why I returned mine:

1. GPS transmitter is NOT waterproof. The grey plastic case has a 2 inch long gap that would easily allow water to get inside it and destroy the electronics. Even overnight condensation could damage the unit.

2. GPS transmitter easily falls out of the cheap black plastic case that attaches to your dogs' collar. You could find the transmitter (assuming no exposure to moisture), but not your beloved dog, who could be long gone.

3. Antenna was shipped quite loose.

Company was unresponsive when I notified them of these problems. I even offered remedies/inexpensive fixes they could have used, which they did not.

Wait until another company comes up with a quality GPS locator for your dog, then buy it.

Your pet's location is automatically transmitted to your wireless device.

The device is simple to operate. View larger. The Global Pet Finder consists of a GPS tracking device and a cellular transmitter. When the five-ounce, water resistant device is attached to the protective snap-guard, it slips easily onto your pet's collar, halter or harness. The unit runs on three included, rechargeable AAA batteries (a charger is also included).
The other key component of the system is the globalpetfinder.com Web site. Here, Global Pet Finder members can build a virtual fence of any size by logging in and defining the fence parameters. The command center will prompt you to enter a name, address and size for your fence. Your fence is then automatically downloaded to the memory of your Global Pet Finder and your pet can then freely roam inside this virtual boundary. Up to five fence locations can be stored at once.
If your pet wanders outside the boundary you have defined, you'll be alerted immediately and sent a continuous update on the location of your pet. Location information is sent to the device of your choice -- a cell phone, a PDA, or a computer -- via SMS or email. Meanwhile, if the Global Pet Finder device is placed in "walk mode" you can walk and travel with your pet outside of the virtual fence. Should you and your pet become separated, though, tracking may be initialized remotely simply by dialing F-O-U-N-D from your cell phone. Likewise, you can check your pet's location at any time by dialing this code. The Global Pet Finder will then transmit your pet's position.
In addition to tracking your pet, the Global Pet Finder will alert you via cell phone when its batteries begin to run low. Plus, the unit monitors the environmental temperature for your pet. You'll will be alerted if temperature conditions become dangerously hot or cold. Global Pet Finder is non-invasive, it requires no installation or surgical implantation, and it does not use electric shock of any kind. Simply put, it's safe and causes no harm to your pet.
The Global Pet Finder requires a one-time activation fee of $34.99 and a monthly service plan. The service plan includes three locates per month (a locate is defined as an out-of-fence violation lasting more than five minutes. It begins when you receive an out-of-fence alert and ends when you pet returns to the "in-fence" mode). The service requires that you have cell phone coverage in your area. (More customer reviews)I like Bose products and have several.Yes, true audiophiles sneer and yes, the brand is overhyped but they work for me!The sound quality is as good as I can hear and the fit and finish is above most other products.I have returned several competitors' products.

But they left out a critical feature.The iPhone headset has inline mic and a little button built into the "bulge" where the mic is.This button allows you take an incoming call or to pause your music.The Bose people left the button out -- the music ramps down when you dial a call but, this is the key thing, you have to take the iPhone out of your pocket to answer a call or to pause the music.What were they thinking?

So if you're cutting the grass and taking advantage of the noise cancelling feature and your wife tries to speak you have to: (1) pull the phone from your pocket or case, (2) swipe your finger to activate the screen, (3) switch to iTunes and your song, (4)hit the pause screen button.Is your wife more patient than mine?

Shure makes a replacement cable (just like Bose) that includes a button.It's a little bigger and clunkier than Apple's barely noticeable squeeze-the-bulge button, but hey, it's there.Bose does not include a button on their replacement cable either.

This is what happens when you don't have good user trials.A major mistake on an otherwise fine product.I cannot recommend this product to anyone who has ever been interrupted or received a call while listening to music.Which is pretty much everybody.Wait for the next generation...

(More customer reviews)I am writing this review just to inform people with Verizon wireless service, using the Verizon USB720 (Novatel U720) modem to be aware of possibly compatibility problems. The situation is pretty simple. When my modem is plugged directly into my laptop, it works almost 100% of the time. When I plug it into the KR1 router, it freezes up every few minutes. When this happens, there is no connection or IP address listed on the "status" page. This freezing occurs until I unplug the router or sometimes after 5 to 10 minutes it fixes itself. It is just not usable this way. Kyocera replaced the router under warranty and the problem is exactly the same. I did upgrade the firmware on both routers. This matter was escalated to D-Link support and they were unable to fix the problem. They are now looking into getting me a different model of router to resolve this. The U720 modem is new, so hopefully they will work the bugs out, but I wanted to make sure this information was available to other buyers. Both Kyocera and Verizon assured me the two units were compatible before I purchased them. I am now locked into a contract with Verizon without a working router and I wouldn't have done that if I'd known of this situation.

3G Wireless Broadband Router Review

(More customer reviews)This stylish product is made by LevelOne, has by far the smallest footprint of all routers I have seen, and appears to work with the widest range of 3G modems.

The 3G broadband router turns your 3G wireless broadband into a WiFi connection. Why would you want to do that?
a) to let several computers share one 3G wireless broadband connection simultaneously
b) to use the internet at a place in the house where the cell phone signal is not so great, i.e. place the router where the signal is strong and let it send "the internet" on to your laptop in the basement

The router has an amazing number of advanced settings and features to lock down and filter traffic, so security should not be a problem if you want to set your home network up in any imaginable configuration. It almost works out of the box, just follow the instructions in the small quick start guide provided: attach antenna, insert PCMCIA card, connect the supplied ethernet cable to your PC, connect power. Then start browser and go to 192.168.0.1 , enter password, move to advanced, select 3G under WAN (yes, under WAN) and it is ready. The only thing to know is that for the Verizon PC5750 PCMCIA EVDO card the following settings apply:
Dial-Number: #777
Username: xxxxxxxxxxx@verizonwireless.com(where you put your cell number)
password: vzw
The PC card has to have been activated, which means it has to have been used before. If you don't know your cell number, insert the PC5750 into the computer and connect, the number will appear in the bottom of the Verizon Access Manager software.
By default the wireless network is open, so should be secured. The router antenna output power can be adjusted if you don't need to cover a large area.
I called Technical Support before purchasing and they were prompt and knowledgable.

(More customer reviews)I use these almost daily at my desk paired with either my iPhone or my netbook. The sound is excellent, the noise cancelling is very good and the battery life is great. The biggest plus for these are the comfort. They are very comfortable and light to wear. They also have an additional plus in that you can wear them around your neck and spin the ear pieces to make the a personal speaker system. You can still hear the music and the conversation without it being to loud around you.
They work great for a call also.

(More customer reviews)I read the previous posters comments and I was very nevous ordering this but i was desperate. I use my BlackBerry (8900) as my primary buissnes line. I have tried all the 3.5mm headsets and none of them really perform that well even the OEM Blackbery headsets are marginal at best.

not sure maybe he got a bad headset but I was relived to hear that mine worked flawlessly with great clarity and my customers can hear me without any problems. my test subject mother in law even commented I sounded better with the headset than using the handset.

I'm super happy and will be ordering 2 extra backup headsets just incase something happens to this one.

Thank you cellet for bringing something other than a blutooth for us guys that still like the wire system and at a great price.
